| Posted 7 months ago I have asked the same question to several accomplished people in sales. All referred me to Tom Hopkins. I have read “How to Master the Art of Selling.” I found it too be very helpful as I am a “Rookie”. He also has an online academy I’m thinking about joining. Has anyone else enrolled in the online training? |

| Posted 6 months ago Hai Sellerina ! I normally don't such kind of books, I alwys belive i my ways of selling which have strories of sucess to be told. read such kind of books have +ve and -ve effects. +ve side is that u get a idea about how the others target the customer and go that way. -ve is that this kind of book make our mind to follow the easyer way to chose. that will pull down our thinking and analysing powers. Our competetor will surly track us on the basis of this. Therefore i always go the way where there is inovation and novelty. Thanking you with regards

| Posted 5 months ago Sellerina says ... Just curious...always looking for new reads to improve my game. The Bible has some good sales techniques, wisdom and stories. Solomon was pretty wise, King David was good too, Proverbs and also the New Testament. You can learn a lot from Jesus's parables. Thanks and have a blessed day!

| Posted 4 months ago I am very partial to Brian Tracy. He has so many really great books. From eat the frog to how to sell. The psychology of selling, the pyschology of closing. Speak on your feet. Advance seeling strategies. The art of closing the sale. I also have quite a few Zig Zigler books.a couple of Tom hopkins, joe girard. Closing for dummies a good book to read.. tom hopkins. Some other really great books.John Maxwell Attitude 101 Richard Carlson.Don't sweat the small stuff I have gitomers little red book of selling. It is ok. The others above are far superior then his.Gitomer comes across as rude obnoxious.NO fooling around .Either your going to buy or get out of my way attitude Zig Ziglars books and cds are all about story telling. How to actually hear what your clinet has spoken in either body language or in spoken word. In his own way he explains who to watch and why to watch them sell. From little children to wife, friends etc. Even how pets sell us.Little phrases to say ,how to calm down clients. How you speak a sentence ( influxtion of a different word)can change the meaning of the same sentences repeated over and over. What I have found. I have taken a little of this and a little of that towards my own way of gaining a persuasive presentation. I am mentally prepared on each client I see. I am prepared to examine, provide a solution, ask probing questions in order to find out the true meaning of what the client has stated and why they have stated their concern. I have learned what words to stay away from, what words to literally thrust out to my clients What all of these books have taught me.Write every night everything that happened during the day. I now do this after each call. What worked what did not work. Why it worked ,what it did for me. I have done this for three years. What thiss has done.Whenever anyone come salong for a ride along.I always get this question from them. How did you know what to say.How did you know to ask this. I am prepared for whatever comes my way.It comes out naturally on what needs to be said or asked. No ryhme or reason it just comes out.It is called prepared. rich I am here to learn and help others in search of information. With everyone having a common goal we should be able to help one another grow in our professional and personal lives. |

| Posted 4 months ago There are so many good sales books but my recommendation is try to get audio so you can listen during your drive time. We all know that reading is good but finding the time can be tough. My favorite's are: Tom Hopkins - "Master the Art of Selling" Brian Tracy - "Psychology of Selling" "Walk like a man, Sell like a Madman" -forgot author but great book on self marketing. Revolves around the largest residential real estate agent in the country. "Top Sales Secrets" - www.salesdog.com is a great compilation of short sales insights. The cool thing is it gives you the names of the books that they are out of so if you like that excerpt you can then go buy the book. It is like a directory of sales books.

| Posted 3 months ago Here is an effective tool to discover your STRENGTHS. I first read "NOW,DISCOVER YOUR STRENGTHS" written by Marcus Buckingham and Donald Clifton, Ph.D about 8 years ago. While working in the worlds largest electronics retailer, the leadership staff was asked to discover their strengths, and work on improving them. Each of us bought the book, researched topics of discussion, and took a STRENGTHS TEST on line that was free with the book purchase. All of us managers discovered what our strengths were, and found out ways to bring strengths out in our sales team members. This was very encouraging, since we spoke with each team member to find out their greatest strengths, and made a game plan to improve these skills. This book has been the most interesting sales book I have read in years. I suggest you read it, and find more of your inner core strengths, then polish them to perfection. ISBN 0-7432-0114-0 THE FREE PRESS, New York. Best wishes friends, and good luck on your discoveries. HURRICANEMURPH.
