I just recently got laid off from my job...my dept got transferred to another state and I decided not to move. I've always wanted to own my own ad agency..but I'm getting some good opportunities for new employment. What has been a point where you just decided to go into business for yourself and just to go for it? I've had troubles having the desire to just start part time...because I want it to be my full attention. Thanks for your imput.

With the business I had I started doing part time work. When the part time work dollar wise equaled what I was making  working full time we made the decision to start a real business. It was scary to make that decision going from a promised regular pay check to uncertain times. After the first year we knew we made the correct decision and never looked back.once you move the fear factor from the equation the decision may be easier to make.

I totally know what you mean about giving it full attention.  I hate feeling like I have a split personality.  I worked on a side venture for a while (before I got hired by SalesHQ) and because it had no funding I needed to work...It never felt settling to work for money and love something that I couldn't dedicate myself to).  My advice is to follow your heart, so long as you feel you will be able to make money and its more sound than mine was.
