what is the difference between todays sales and those of twenty years or more ago?

Posted about 1 month ago I was thinking about the difference between todays sales process and the sales process of the past. I have found the difference being client knowledge. With everyone having a computer, we live in the information age. The client can find information on everything that is said and they can find out on line what the product does and how affective it is. In some cases they can find out if the product is the proper solution to a given problem. In many ways the computer has helped me in the quest of helping the client towards the proper decision and oen that is in the best interest of the client. What have you found to be different today then yesteryear? I am here to learn and help others in search of information. With everyone having a common goal we should be able to help one another grow in our professional and personal lives. |

| Posted about 1 month ago You can't act like a salesperson anymore - customers have already heard all of the same stupid pitches and closes.....Time to re-invent the process, the guidlines of coming to a sale w/ out using stale, boring, and abrasive intro's, outros, and rehearesed closes...They may have been slick when the customers had on bell bottoms, but in the market of today, customers find value when you can increase their profits. |
