What drives you to make your goals?  How well do you commit to yourself?

I think that if you don't love yourself and are not happy with yourself, then you can't be productive in reaching your goals.  I think that if you look after yourself first, then you will be healthy and happy enough to reach the goals you set out for yourself.  Not enough people look after themselves and they get into a rut of pretending that they are happy when they are not.  This deters and sets up road blocks to reach the goal.  Perhaps, one may not take risks, for fear of failing.  Perhaps the idea to reach the goal may include some traveling and you postpone it because your children are young.  Believe, your children will understand when they are older, as they will see the what haves they have because you decided to sacrifice a few trips away.  I think your motivationis sinking because perhaps you may feel guilty?  Well, I was an army brat and my father was away for 6 mths to a year and I think it actually made me a stronger person, independent.    You can be the best and be recognized as the best so long as you can honestly say you put your best into it. 

I used to look after me last (for 30 years). How dumb was that.  I have learned to say "NO". I now take risks that I normally wouldn't, what's going to happen, someone may say no thanks.  My goal right now is to make as much $ I can before I retire in the next 12 years.  I am going to take on whatever challenging job that comes to me and I will never say never, and never always do nothing.  LoL

What drives me?? Hm, I hate to say it, but money drives me.
