When I do affiemations I like to put "Thank you for I am..." infront of the affirmation I want to say, as it puts you in an apprecitative frame of mind and this makes you feel good. An affirmation should be said but more importantly felt from the heart/stomach - thats what makes it work, rather than just being uttered as rote jibberish!
As a certified NLP practitioner, I can vouch for the power of affirmations. Especially those that you say to yourself right before a call or meeting - they can have a tremendous impact on how you come across and are perceived.
Thats funny...I just growl in the mirror every morning and beat my chest! :)
